There are many good workbooks available for kindergarten children. However with a regular workbook, a child can do each activity or worksheet only once. A good option is to use printable kindergarten worksheets. These are basically digital versions (like ebooks) of worksheets that can be bought and downloaded to your computer from the internet or from CDs and then printed out. The advantage is that you can print out whichever sheet you wish. If you need to re-inforce a certain concept more you can usually print out that sheet again. Of course you will therefore need to have a computer and a printer.
How will you preschool your young child – In pre-schooling your children must be according to their pace. Teach them according to their capacity. In this way, we can avoid them from being stress out. Stress can disable their learning abilities.
Kindergarten ABC worksheets should have different activities to help children identify the various letters of the alphabet. The activities may involve very simple things like colouring, ticking, drawing a line to match items etc. Using attractive illustrations and cartoon characters would make it more fun for children. The activities should be graded, i.e initial activities should be very simple and easy (but should be fun with good pictures etc, so as to interest the child); later worksheets may involve a little bit more work.
Spring is here and I thought it is the perfect time to create flowers theme related preschool materials. I have created a set of free flower flashcards. Other than using it as flashcards to aid your lesson, I also like to use it for matching activity.
This free set includes printable for numerals and number words 1 to 10. I suggest printing these on card stock paper and laminating them so that they will last longer. You can also paste them on cardboard before cutting them out if you want it to be more like real puzzles.
Download free pattern strips to let your preschool, pre-k or kindergarten kids practice to extend or continue AB, AAB, ABB, AABB and ABC patterns based on the story ’The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle.
